Themes

A website theme refers to the overall look and feel of the site.  Every page on your website will have the same appearance.  Only the actual content on each page changes.
DizzyBee has a number of standard themes which you can choose from with the Basic package.

Open Source

Open source is a movement in the software industry dedicated to producing free software that is able to be modified by the community. Free does not mean rights free and, generally, open source software is licensed, it is just that the licenses are no charge. Each open source software project is different and individual license agreements must be examined to determine what you can and cannot do with the software.

Search Engines

Over recent years, there has been an explosion of information available to people on the World Wide Web.  Search Engines help people to search through the piles of information to help them to find what they are looking for.
There are a number of different search engines but below are the most popular:

Search Engine Optimisation

Search Engine Optimisation allows potential clients to find your site by typing in the appropriate keywords into a search engine such as Google. Top position in a search engine results page can never be guaranteed by us (or anyone else), but we can make sure that your site has every chance to appear favourably in the results and advise you on other things that you can do to help improve your exposure on the web.

Web Hosting

Web hosting refers to the area of computer space in which your website is stored and has the ability of allowing other users to view and access the information.  Other computers on the World Wide Web know how to access this area when somebody is trying to access your site through you domain.
Typically, owners of websites purchase web hosting plans from companies who have a huge amount of computer servers specifically setup for hosting websites.
